Bridget in the employ of Daniel Mathew at "Clanville". Kerrie Oliver's research. Charlotte was born to Bridget Oliver daughter of Henry Oliver while she was in the employ of Daniel Mathew. Bridget was only sixteen when she gave birth to Charlotte and there is a question as to who was Charlotte's father?. • Event: 26 Jun 1819, The Sydney Gazette and NSW Adviser. Daniel Mathew advertised in the "Sydney Gazette" that he was taking his family to England in the "Surry" Page 4 26th June 1819. He stated that, "he was taking his wife family and a servant Bridget Oliver." Burke's Dictionary of the Landed Gentry Vol.2 M-Z shows that Daniel Mathew died without issue. Bridget by being taken to accompany Mrs.Mathew is shown to be well regarded by Mr and Mrs.Mathew. Was Charlotte part of the "family"? • Marriage: 25 Feb 1833, Home Of Rev John Dunmore Lang, Sydney NSW AUS. Bridget Oliver married Daniel Bullock her daughter Charlotte Oliver married John Johnson. Both couples were married on the same day 25th February 1833 at the home of Reverend Dunmore Lang in Sydney. • She was buried in Aug 1855 in St John's The Evangelist, Gordon NSW AUS.
