About Bridget Gee
I wonder why both lines started using Jesse as a given name. Such use of a
distinctive name like Jesse would seem to indicate some connection between the two lines.
For example, an indication of a possible connection between the Nevills of VA and those of Halifax/Orange County , North Carolina area is the GEE line. There were GEES in the Halifax/Orange County area. Those Gees are supposed to be off the line of John Nevill (1661-1733) (see p. 8 of 370-Yr. History) who, according to the notorious Booger, is supposed to be an ancestor of the Pr. William/Fauquier County , Virginia Nevill line. Bridget Nevill (1692-1748), daughter of John, m. Charles Gee. Among Charles and Bridget's children (p. 10) are BENJAMIN Gee and JESSE Gee. Another of Charles and Bridget's children was Charles Gee. One of his children was Nevil Gee who m. Elizabeth Harwell (p. 19). One of their children was Sterling Harwell Gee. I remember seeing the name Sterling Harwell Gee in Montgomery County , Tennesseerecords in the early 1800s. (I will look up the specific reference if anyone needs it.) Isn't someone on our list descended from this line? I know this reasoning is convoluted, but if the information is plotted with pencil and paper, it can be seen more clearly.
