After her husband died, Brunneken continued to benefit from the treaty with the town of Hannover. Like her father she limited her business to moneylending in the city. She died in Hildesheim in 1597 (Rotraud Ries, Jüdisches Leben in Niedersachsen im 15. und 16. Jahrhundert (Hannover: Hahnsche Buchhandlung, 1994), p. 116).
