Buzia Shnitzer

Buzia arrived in the U.S.on 1/27/23 with her seven daughters, her furture son-in-law, Moris Jacknis and her cousin, Jankel Olshansky. They came over on the Kroonland, which departed from Antwerp, Belgium. She was a third class passanger. She arrived at Ellis Island, NY. She was 40 years old at the time. She was sponsered by her younger brother, Harry Dolgin, and her sister-in-law, Frances Dolgin. Buzia as born in Justingrad, Lipovetz, Kiev and last resided in Kishineff, Russia.

Buzia's passport was issued on 9/12/22 at the Russian Consulat in Bucharest.

At one point, Buzia lived at 1810 Longfellow Ave., Bronx, NY, which is when she applied for her Naturalization to the U.S. The date of the application was on 5/26/40. At this time, she was 57 years old, weighed150 pounds, had brown eyes, grey hair and stood five feet two inches tall.

Her husband, Issac Shnitzer, died in Justingrad, Russia, on/around September, 1919.
