(Vol. 2, p. 171), Caleb Gardner of Brookline married, April 10, 1707, Sarah Phipps of Cambridge. He died in 1716. Winchester—Suffolk Co. Deeds, Vol. 32, p. 179: "John Winchester, with consent of my wife, formerly the wife of Caleb Gardner, as empowered by the Superior Court, held at Boston, Nov. 5, 1717, to sell land, formerly known as Leverett's Farm, lying in Brookline, formerly owned by Caleb Gardner. With consent of my wife Sarah. March 13, 1717."
