Calixte lived with his wife Clarinda in Granby, Shefford, PQ until they emigrated to the US on 16 APR 1902 with their three children Delvica, Romeo and Fabiola. They came by way of St. John, New Brunswick to the port of St. Albens, Vermont via the Boston & Maine Railroad. At 43 years of age, Calixte was between 5 and 6 foot tall (appears closer to 5 feet in later pictures), thin build (130 lbs) and had a small scar on his left cheek. He had brown hair and brown eyes. He has been described as a gun maker (1920 census), a machinist (1917 declaration of intention to be naturalized), a plumber (1923 petition for naturalization), a grocer (1931 Chicopee city directory) and 1941 last will and testament which lists a store in his estate), and a painter (probate records). He was naturalized as a US citizen on on 31 MAR 1924. His last will and testament was dated 10 SEP 1941 in which he appointed his son Sylvio as the executor. His funeral requiem mass was at St. George's in Chicopee. His birth record in St-Bernardin Parish lists his godfather as Raphail BROUILLET and his godmother as Edefre DESJARDINS.
