Canada's grave is marked only with the military marker - Co. G 7th Ky. Inf. CW. His birth date is estimated as Oct. 25, 1808 or April 18, 1808. Children: Jane Goins Meadors (1828 - 1904)* Lucinda A Goins Hicks (1830 - 1914)*

Canada Goins was the s/o Isham Goins and Susanna Bratcher. Isham and Susanna Bratcher/Goins were from Bedford County, Va. They migrated across the mountains from Virginia into Tennessee, a few years before Canada was born. (Canada came from a family of 14 children of which he was the 4th child. Canada married Rebecca Goins. (Her maiden name is unknown at this time). Canada's "known" siblings that lived to adulthood were: Preston, Daniel, William, John, Isham, James, Jane, Rachael, Elizabeth, Martha.
