Husband of Ailsey Cole. Father of Jesse, William, Lucy, Richard, Greenbury, Ann, Sallie, Elizabeth, John, James and Mary

Great grandfather of Alexander Frank James, Robert R. James, Jesse Woodson James, and Susan Lavenia James.

Anthony Lindsay was the proprietor of Lindsay's station which was built of the old buffalo trace that led to Cincinnati. This was a stopping place for travelers and a refuge for other families during Indian raids. Traces of the old road can still be seen today.
