Capt. August George Place, USAF Ret.

The 1940 City Directory shows August G. Place and his wife at 1635 20th Street #8, Rock Island. His occupation was listed as instructor. He served in the Air Force during World War II. In 1942 they were living in Brownsville, Texas, and between 1944 and 1986 in Dallas, Texas. In Dallas he worked as a pilot for Braniff Airlines.
