On 20 Jan 1825/26, she took for her second husband, Charles Rhodes, a Revolutionary Soldier who d. 4 Feb 1837.Charles had first married Isbella (?). He wasa resident of Bertie Co., NC; served two and one half years in the NC Reg.,later Capt. of the Militia in NC under Gen. Lincoln, fought at the battle of Cowpens, at Brandywine, and at the surrender of Cornwallis; had a land grant in Amite Co.and was there as early as 1816.Note: Recognition must be made to Mrs. Edgar Dennis (Huguette Fernandez) McGehee, whose husband descends from Samuel, for her tremendous effort in collecting and compiling information on the McGehee Family.
