Jacob Green, son of John and Perseverance (?johnson) Green, was born in England and came to New England with his parents in 1632 [1]aboard the ship James, and the family settled at Charlestown. (p. 811)[2]
Jacob was born about 1623, as he deposed in 1657 as being about 36; and deposed in 1660, as being 35. [2]
He married Elizabeth ___, by 1654 as their eldest child Jacob Jr. was born that year. [2] [9]. His wife Elizabeth died between Apr., 1658 and 1661.
Jacob's second wife was the widow Mary (Bartholomew) Whipple, whom he married by 1662, [9] as 'Mrs. Mary Green, ye wife of bro. Jacob Green', was admitted to the First Church at Charlestown, on 23: 12: 1661 (Feb/ 23. 1662). [6] Mary was born in Gloucester, MA about 1637, daughter of William and Anne Batholomew. (p. 183)[8]
