Capt. John Punderson The son of Deacon John & Damaris (Atwater) Punderson, he was Captain of the trainband and Deacon of the First Church from 1727 through 1742.
(1)He married Abigail Alling, daughter of my ancestors, JOHN & SUSANNAH (COE) ALLING, on Aug. 3, 1699. She died March 8, 1739.
(2) On March 6, 1740, he married Mary (Tuttle) Ball, widow of John Ball.
From Records of the Colony of Conn.:
Oct., 1736 "The Assemby order, That the sum of fity-three pounds eighteen shillings and three pence be paid out of the public treasury into Messrs. Isaac Dickerman and John Punderson which together with fifty pounds granted in May last is in full for repairing Yale College."

- 4. John Punderson, b. July 25, 1709; d. Nov. 26, 1742 in New Haven, CT.
