John Austin's The Genealogical Dictionary of Rhode Island has Robert married first Theodosia Whaley July 15, 1697, second Susanna Reynolds widow of Joseph Nov. 7, 1723, third Martha Hopkins widow of Joseph. Theodosia is mother of all children.

Biography

Robert Spencer was born 6 November 1674, in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, to John Spencer and Susannah Griffin. [1]

Robert married Theodosia Whaley on 15 July 1697, in East Greenwich, Rhode Island. [2]

Their children, all born in East Greenwich, Rhode Island:

Martha, b. 8 September 1700
Ruth, b. 20 May 1702
Theodosia, b. 8 November 1703
Robert, b. 1 March 1704

Robert's wife Theodosia died before 7 Noveber 1723, as Robert married his second wife Susanna on that day.

Death

He died about 1748 in Exeter, Rhode Island. George Reynolds was appointed administrator of his estate on 1 July 1748, and his inventory was taken on 29 July 1748.[3]
