Samuel Davis was born 3 October 1703 at Concord, Middlesex Co., MA.1,2 He was the son of Samuel Davis (1682-1754), son of Samuel; and Abigail Reade (1680- ), daughter of Philip.
Capt. Samuel was a ruling elder in the church. According to Vital Records. he died: Aug. 25, 1771 a. 67 years [1770. gravestone]. (source: Vital Records of Rockport, MA to the end of the year 1849). His estate was probated September 24, 1770.
Samuel (1703) married Deborah Haynes,170-1778in 1723 in MA (MA, Compiled Marriages, 1633-1850). She was the daughter of Francis Haynes and Elizabeth Hooper.
