Capt. Samuel Wright served in the early days of the war with the Green Mountain Boys, but later decided the British were going to win the conflict and joined the British forces, ultimately moving to Canada then back into New York during the War of 1812. He was actually first cateloged as a Patriot by the DAR then removed from the roles later. He was married three times: 1. Susanna, 2. Unknown 3. Mercy, and he died, as Jeffry reports, in 1815 and is buried in Ogdensburg, NY.
