Thaddeus Baldwin, son of Henry Baldwin and Abigail Butler, was b. Dec. 7,1759, in Shrewsbury, Mass. The Records of that town say b. in 1758. He m., Mar. 2,1784, with ABIGAIL RICE, of Shrewsbury, Mass., dau. of Col. Asa Rice, and removed to Gerry (now Phillipston), Mass., probably in 1788, where he d. June 28,1827; she d. Mar. 28,1843.

Children were: Tilly (1784), Loammi (1786), Thaddeus (1788), Henry (1790), Asa Rice (1793), Abigail (1796), Polly (1798), Nancy (1800), Lucretia (1802), Eliza (1804), and Life (1806).
