9. Captain Alfred Goodwill born 7 Nov. 1830 died 27 Nov. 1905 born in London, England, son of John & Susannah Goodwill of Hull;
Came to America in 1849; died in 1905. Sailed across Atlantic to America w/father after mother died. He married Elizabeth Farley on 28 Aug. 1854 in Claiborne Parish, La. and had several children. Her grandson, Mike Foster, became governor of Louisiana.

Ida Victoria Hill Goodwill, born 4 Oct 1838, died 2 Mar 1937, is buried in the Minden Cemetery. When she married Alfred Goodwill in Webster Parish on 22 Dec 1873, she was listed as Mrs. Ida Victoria Hill ADAIR.
Ida was the second wife of Capt. Alfred Goodwill and is not buried in the same plot with Capt Goodwill and his first wife, Elizabeth Ford Farley Goodwill.
