Elijah moved to Indiana. Issue: Henry T., John W., George W. John W.'s children lived near Brooklyn, Ind. ; Henry T. has children living at Plainfield, Ind. ; William N., deceased; Alexander W., Samuel V., Oscar W., Charles B. Issue: Evan E., Concordia, Kan., served in the Union army, married Alice Udell ; John W. William T. Geogre W.

Nathan Udell, commissioned April 8. 1862. and August 1. 1862, commission revoked.

Evan E. Swearingen, enlisted as sergeant, March 4, 1862: promoted second lieutenant. June 3. 1863: promoted first lieutenant. June 3, 1863: captured at Tilton. Georgia; promoted captain June 17, 1865.
