About Captain Jacob James Arentz
Parish records show that Jacob Arens was buried in the old cemetery (behind the chapel). In 2000, the church historian photographed all of the remaining gravestones in the old cemetery, regardless of condition. No stone was found for Jacob.
There is an Jacob Arenth listed as Immigrated Aug 24 1749 on MS ELLIOTT from Rotterdam to Philadelphia. Not sure this is the same person. http://www.trailofourancestors.com/shplst35.htm
