Captain John Martin White, Sr.

A Patriot of the American Revolution for VIRGINIA  with the rank of Captain. DAR Ancestor # A125162 

He was the son of Jeremiah and Mary (Martin) White. He married Milly Ballenger on May 29, 1775. Their children were: Reuben, Sallie, Polly M., Nancy K., Lucinda K., Patsey J., Eppy, Betsey, Frankey, John Martin Jr. and Eliza J. White.

John Martin White was born on 27 June 1743 in Virgina, the son of Jeremiah White and Mary Martin. He was named in the 27 Nov 1774 Will of his father Jeremiah, proved in May court 1777 in Albemarle Co., VA. John Martin White married on 29 May 1775 to Mildred "Milly" Thornton Ballenger, born 23 Oct 1756, the daughter of Joseph Ballenger and Sarah Franklin. Milly died on 2 Sep 1840.
