From British Newspaper Archive: Daily Mirror Monday, 28 May 1923 Page 9 Today's Gossip: Welcome Arrival

Lady Victor Paget, whose marriage to the Marquis of Anglesey's brother took place last year, has just had a little daughter. She was pretty Miss Bridget Colebrook and she and her husband have known each other since childhood. Lord Victor was formerly married to Miss Olive May, the actress, who is now Lady Drogheda. The Pagets some months back took that delightful little doll's house in Mayfair known as Berkeley Cottage.

That energetic stork has just brought Lord Victor Paget a baby daughter. If little Miss Paget grows to be as beautiful as her Mamma, she will be one of the acknowledged Society belles of her time.

Lord Victor is heir-presumptive to the Marquess of Anglesey, who is his brother, and before her marriage.

Lady Paget was the Hon. Bridget Colebrooke, Lord and Lady Colebrooke's younger daughter. She possesses not only a very rare and lovely Christian name, for Bridget is less common in aristocratic circles nowadays than in polite court circles, but she has the most alluring grave[?] oval face, of pale beauty in colouring, with magnificent eyes that are serenely intelligent, a true Rossetti mouth, and finest chiselled nose, with a setting of lovely dark hair.

Her husband's first marriage, to Miss May Olive, of Gaiety fame, was dissolved about two years ago. Lord Victor wears M.C. as well as the usual war medals, and served on three fronts in the Great Adventure. He is a popular sportsman and well-known Clubman.

From British Newspaper Archive: Gloucester Journal Saturday, 1 August 1931 Page 1 Decree Nisi for Lady Bridget Paget

Lord Merrivale, in the Divorce Court today, granted a decree nisi with costs to Lady Bridget Paget, of Grove Court, Circus Road, London, on the ground the misconduct of her husband, Lord Victor William Paget, with a German woman. The suit was not defended.

The marriage took place on Wednesday, 29 March 1922, at the Marylebone Register Office, and there are two children. Trouble arose over the association of Lord Victor Paget with other women, and there was a deed of separation in April 1928. Lord Victor took a flat in Ryder-street, where it was alleged he stayed with the woman named.

Lord Merrivale said he was satisfied there was misconduct between Lord Victor Paget and the German woman. The register at the flat in Ryder-street showed that Lord Victor Paget entered his own name and the Berlin address of the woman, which he gave as his own address.
