Richard Lord was born 1 March 1685 in Kittery, Maine. He was the son of Nathan Lord and Martha Tozier. "Martha Tozer, daughter of Richard Tozer, sen., is referred to in the following from Berwick, (Me.) records of marriages and births: Nathan Lord married to Martha, daughter of Richard Tozer and Judith his wife, 22 November 1678.
