Captain Rowland Cobb

Rowland Cobb was baptised in the Barnstable East Parish Church on 15 October 1738, the son of Jesse and Thankful (Baker) Cobb.[1][2]

As Roland Cobb, he married Thankful Garret on 07 November 1764 in Sandwich, Barnstable County,[3] after intentions were published in Barnstable on 24 March 1764.[4] She was the daughter of Richard and Elizabeth (Stevens) Garrett, baptised in Sandwich on 07 June 1730.[5]

Roland probably died sometime before 1790, when Thankful Cobb was enumerated as the head of household in the census of that year in Sandwich.[6] If this was the same woman, she also appeared in the 1800 census in Sandwich as aged over 45 years.[7]

They had one known child born Sandwich:

Celia (or Lucy), b. 13 Nov 1767;[8] m. Heman Adams 1781;[9] d. 24 Dec 1854, Butler Co., Ohio, bur. Indian Creek Baptist Cemetery[10]
