About Captain Thomas O'Grady

Thomas died from heart disease on ship 'Dawn' when leaving the Irwin River on 26 July 1870. Thomas was the ship's master. Around that time the ship was driven onto reefs at Irwin River but successfuly salvaged and reentered service until finally being wrecked on 20 March 1902 on a journey from Broome to Fremantle.
