Carl F. Dalrymple, Jr.

Carl F. Dalrymple Jr., 81, of Effort passed away on Thursday, July 6, in HCR Manor Care in Easton. He was the companion of Bernie Duffy. Born in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was the son of the late Carl F. Dalrymple Sr. and the late Betsy (Huff) Dalrymple.

Carl worked for K & S Trucking as a diesel mechanic in Phillipsburg, NJ. He was a member of the Monroe County Cruisers Car Club, and a member of the Hallett's Trolley Station Car Club. He also loved his two Shih Tzu dogs, Smokey and Betsy.

In addition to his companion, Bernie Duffy, he is survived by five daughters, Debra Stiltson of Dover, NY, Susan Beers and husband Kenneth of Blakeslee, Janet Hoffman and husband Ronald of MS, Tammy DeHaven and husband Woodrow of Albrightsville, Nancy Compton of Roseto; two sons, Carl F. Dalrymple III of Saylorsburg, James Dalrymple of Roseto; five sisters, Wilma Waters of Belvidere, NJ, Patricia Titus and husband Dick of Belvidere, NJ, Ruth Latourette and husband Harold of Washington, NJ, Margaret Gilbert and husband Fred of High Bridge, NJ, Julie Kasiebeir of OH; two brothers, Richard Dalrymple and wife Barbara of Riverton, NJ, Robert Dalrymple of Columbia, NJ; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lorrain Dalrymple, and a daughter, Betty Buskirk.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 22, at 10:30 a.m. from the Zion United Lutheran Church in Brodheadsville with Rev. Ann Melot officiating. Burial of the ashes will follow in the Buena Vista Cemetery, Brodheadsville. Kresge Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
