Son of Ole Gabriel Gabrielsen and Lisabeth Larsdatter Gabrielson. Husband to Emma Lena Benkenstein Malmin. Father to Oscar Carl Malmin, * Malmin Nelson, * Malmin Cook, * Malmin, Norman Carl Malmin who is buried at Dry Creek Cemetery along side his father. Carl served in France in the U.S. Army during World War I. He was a life time member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 63. He was also a member of Sawtooth Barracks No. 217, Veterans of World War I. Most of his life he worked in the construction trades. In his later years he was an independent contractor. Carl loved music and would often gather with friends that played guitar and banjo etc... and he would play his fiddle.
