About Carl Monroe Lankard
Carl M. Lankard of Bellwood, retired farmer and lumberman, died Tuesday, May 23, 1944, at 10 p. m. in the Mercy Hospital,Altoona, following a short illness.He was a son of David and Lavina(Mmnich) Lankard and was born in Ringo Township, Jefferson County November 13, 1872. His wife preceded him in death fifteen years ago. He was a member of the Alexandria Methodist Church. Surviving: are three children, Charles R. of Detroit, Norman E. and Joseph R. Lankard. both of Bellwood, and four grandchildren and these brothers and sisters, Hiram and Blaine Lankard, and Mrs. Lena Kean, all of Alexandria and Mrs. Samuel Smith of Pottstown. The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock on Friday at the Fuoss Mortuary in Bellwood. Interment will be made in the Alexandria Cemetery. The Rev. Theodore S.Miller will officiate. Friends may call at the Mortuary.
