About Carl Everett Tibbitts
Carl Everett Tibbitts, 77, passed away on September 15, 1997 at Latter-Day Saints Hospital. He resided at 7091 South 2870 East in Cottonwood Heights, Utah at the time of his death.
He was born November 15, 1919 to Lorenzo Edwin Tibbitts II and Clara Eliza Gessel.
He married Adair Naomi Janson on May 24, 1940; later solemnized on December 9, 1963 in Salt Lake LDS Temple. He spent many years in the military, which included World War II, Korean War, and since in the reserves. He was a High Priest and an ordinance worker in the Jordan River LDS Temple.
Survived by his wife, Adair; seven children, 28 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and six brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 20, 1997 at 12:00 p.m. in the Butler First Ward Chapel, 2700 East Fort Union Boulevard (7000 South). The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Mountain View Memorial Estates Mortuary, 3115 East Bengal Boulevard (7800 South), and from 11-11:45 a.m. prior to the services at the Church. Interment will be in the Mountain View Memorial Estates Cemetery. Published in the Deseret News on 9/18/1997.
