About Carlen Jane Mulkey Nickles
Carlen Jane Nickles "Granny Mulkey" age 69 of Litchfield went to be with her lord at her home on June 18, 2011.
Carlen was born June 20, 1941 to Orviel and Stella (Smith) Jeffrey in Dartmont, West Virginia.
On December 31, 1958 she married Norman Mulkey Sr. and he preceded her in death on October 9, 1991.
Carlen started her working life as a nurse's aid and later worked at Manchester Plastics in Homer until ill health forced her to retire. Known as "Granny Mulkey" to many Carlen adored spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She also was a member of the Grace Free Will Baptist Church of Albion for many years. A few cherished memories her children would like to share are her love of birthday celebrations, getting cards on any occasion, of which she was known to have never thrown away a card. She also loved watching her birds.

Sons: Norman (Kim Reincke) Mulkey Jr.

5 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren
Also preceding her in death were her parents, 20 siblings and step mother Lucy Jeffrey.
Burial will be at Albion Memory Gardens.

Funeral Services for will be held Wednesday June 22, 2011 at 1:00pm at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 208 West Erie Street Albion MI 49224 with Pastor Earl Martin and Pastor Ellis Howard officiating. Burial will be at Albion Memory Gardens. Visitation is schedule from 11am Wednesday June 22, 2011 11am till time of service. Memorials can be given to the COPD Foundation, 2937 SW 27th Avenue, Suite 302, Miami, FL 33133 or the American Lung Association 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20004 is available at the funeral home.
