About Carlota Mathilde Elmes
My mother was a Haiku poet (the Japanese short poems) as a hobby. She even got a small book published: http://www.larsanderssonforlag.se/15.htm

About Carlota, my mother:
She was the oldest - and the only girl. Her brothers, Robert, Miguel, Pierre and Roland became her duty when she was a teenager. This means, and I have realised this too late, that she id not have any real childhood, and as other teenagers could play around. I believe my grandmother Gertie and her father Ernesto in a way took advantage of Carlota, and made her their "nanny". I think this molded her into what she become. She was fragile, and searched all her life after love, never found it - at least not with men. Most men she met, included my father, was really mistakes. She was beautiful, and men lined up. But she rejected anyone who might have had a basis to create something solid. Instead she moved around a lot - not the best thing to do when you have children. She was always poor, never had a "real" job, instead she used all her time to take care of lost souls, children, cats and dogs. Really crayzy in a way. Annika and I always had to fight against all sorts of people trying to have a piece of Carlota. I did balame her when I was young, but I forgave her, realizing she could not help who she was. I love you mama.
