She was born March 3, 1920, in Rexburg, Idaho; daughter of Leslie Vinton and Marie Rebecca Miller Merrill. She played the violin in a most beautiful, warm, melodic, expressive way, and served many friends by playing the violin at their funerals.
She served in many capacities in church and community, including serving on the LDS Primary General Board from 1970-75. She also served with her husband in the Ogden LDS temple, and then together with him on a mission in the London LDS Temple, from 1983-85.
