Carol Millicent Wheatley

"Carol C. Wheatley, 85, of Glover passed away May 25, 2012 in Newport, VT. She was born October 2, 1926 in Glover, VT a daughter of Leslie and Bernice (Davis) Clark. On July 11, 1948 she married Donald Wheatley who survives her. She graduated from the University of Vermont with a Batchelor of Science Degree. Mrs. Wheatley was a teacher at the Glen Carlyn School and the Arlington, Virginia School System. She was a member of the Glover Community Church and she was an ordained deacon of the Southern Baptist Church in Arlington, VA. Among her hobbies she enjoyed reading, traveling, cooking and attending family gatherings. Mrs. Wheatley was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Barton, VT, the retired teacher’s association and windjamming cruises. She is survived by her husband Donald Wheatley of Glover, VT, by her children: Kathleen Wheatley and her husband Steve McHenry of San Diego, California, and Clark Wheatley and his wife Heather of Weston, Fla, by her grandchildren: Sarah, Loretta, Hillary, Caitlin, Davis, Cameron, Jenna, and Margaret and by her great grandchildren: Ariel, Addie, Hannah, and John.
