About Carolina Wilhelmina Hecker
Photo: Entrance door of the church in Eythra near Leipzig with the donors
Eythra was a former municipality in Saxony at the Weissen Elster (river) and the Elstermuehlgraben; the area now belongs to the City of Zwenkau. The former parish village had to give way to the lignite mining in the 1980s. The inhabitants were resettled. From the inscription it appears that the church was restored by the patron Georg Graf von Werther. Mrs. Carolina Haserick (1779 -1819), wife of the pastor Hecker is listed as a later donor in the frieze.
