About Daniel Gottlob Haserick
Daniel Gottlob HASERICK was a master of the dyer's guild, using dyer's woad (Isatis tinctoria) to receive deep blue colours and (white) ornaments, by a technique called "Blaudruck" (literally, "blue print(ing)").
The "Blaudruck" in Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic (Modrotisk), Slovakia (Modrotlač) and Hungary (Kékfestés) have been included in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Woad was eventually replaced by the more colourfast Indigofera tinctoria and, in the early 20th century, both woad and Indigofera tinctoria were replaced by synthetic blue dyes.
Beside this, he was also a "Schönfärber", e.g. one who understood and was entitled to carry out the dyeing of valuable fabrics like silk in beautiful red tones.
