Caroline Houghton

Caroline Giles Shoemaker was born in 1831 in Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of William Rawles Shoemaker and wife Julia Hepburn. She married Judge Joab Houghton of Santa Fe, New Mexico. She died on April 12, 1914 in Roswell, New Mexico and is buried at South Park, Roswell, New Mexico.

Researchers for the Houghton line list her name as Ann Caroline Shoemaker but researchers for the Shoemaker line list her name as Caroline Giles Shoemaker. There IS an Ann Caroline Shoemaker.
