About Caroline M. Lacy
"NOTES FROM BAILEY A. BIRDSONG, grandson of Alexander and Mariam Burns Anderson Birdsong....
2nd child, Caroline Anderson, first married John Walker in Alabama (18??). She had one child, Franklin Walker; Caroline next married Elisha Lacy in Alabama about 1822 (?), who made himself immensely rich in raising stock and farming in Sumter Co. Raised a large family of boys and girls among whom are (oldest) Captain Lacy of Retreat in Grimes Co., Texas, and William Anderson Lacy who died of yellow fever in 18?? in De Soto Parish, La., in 1867, leaving a large family (Buck Lacy is his son). Mark Lacy was the youngest - there were several daughters. One, Nancy, married William Bony of De Soto Parish, La. Martha married Dr. Cannon in Alabama and separated from hnm and came to Texas where her brother Captain Tom lived (her son killed a man). Several more daughters too numerous to mention."
Caroline married a man by the name of Henry Walker before 1809 but I don't haven any information on where he is buried. I have made a memorial for Henry.
Caroline N. Anderson then Married Elisha Lacy 30 September 1812.
Elisha and Caroline had 10 children.* Reference: Find A Grave Memorial - SmartCopy: Jul 6 2022, 19:25:13 UTC
