3rd child of William and Betsey Easley Anderson, Martha Burns Anderson, married Alexander Birdsong in Marengo Co., Alabama, 10 Feb 1919, and lived there about six years and had three children - viz, Laura Grasty Birdsong (b. 19 Dec 1819), William Anderson Birdsong (b. 6 Mar 1822), Jesse Monroe Birdsong (b. Jan 1824) - and about that time moved to Fayette Co., Tennessee, settled on Wolfe River (Moscow, Tenn.) about one mile from the state line (about 40 miles east of Memphis, Tennessee), where the following children were born: John Easley Birdsong (b. 14 Nov 1825), Miles Jefferson Birdsong (b. 5 Dec 1827), Bailey Washington Birdsong (b. 20 Dec 1829), Albert Gallatin Birdsong (b. 30 Jan 1832), Alexander Lafayette Birdsong (b. 1 Feb 1834), and then moved back to Sumter Co., Alabama about January 1837, where the following children were born: Mariam Elizabeth Birdsong (b. 3 Apr 1836), Jerome Bonaparte Birdsong (b. 16 Mar 1839); and then moved to Harrison Co., Texas, 14 Nov or Dec 1840, where an unnamed daughter was born 12 Dec 1842; another daughter Huldah Virginia, was born 25 Dec 1844; Alexander and Mariam B. Birdsong lived in Pabola Co., Texas until 1870 and then moved to Hunt Co., Texas, 10 miles west of Greenville. They lived there until 1877, then broke up housekeeping and went to live with their son, Dr. Miles J. Birdsong, of Carthage, Texas, where Mariam B. Birdsong died 8 Apr 1878. Alexander Birdsong went to Hunt Co., to live with his son, William A. Birdsong, where he died 15 Mar 1879."
