Caroline M (Tilla) Kalskett, a lifetime resident of Moorhead, Iowa passed away at Burgess Memorial Hospital, Onawa, Iowa on April 2, 1977. She had reached the age of 91 years 2 months and 13 days.
She was born at Moorhead, Iowa on January 19, 1886; the daughter of Martin K Lee and Carrie Tolefson Lee. She was united in marriage to Martin Kalsett on April 29, 1915 at Soldier, Iowa.
She was a lifelong member of the Soldier Lutheran Church and of the Soldier Lutheran Church Women.
Tilla was one of a family of 10 children. She graduated from the Moorhead High School.
Survivors include her husband, Martin at Moorhead, Iowa; one sister, Mrs Walter (Mabel) Thompson of Sioux City, Iowa; two brothers, William and Theodore both of Soldier, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and three sisters.
Services were Tuesday, April 5, 1977 at 2 p.m. at the Soldier Lutheran Church, Soldier, Iowa with Pastor William G Carter officiating.
The organist, Mrs Harry Andersen accompanied the quartet; James Severson, Gene Brenden, Gordon Swenson and Gordon Foss in the selection, "Nearer My God To Thee" and "Amazing Grace".
Bearers were Gary Kalskett, Craig Kalskett, Dennis Thoreson, Kevin Swenson, Aaron Andrews, and Gary Gorham. Interment took place in the Lutheran Church Cemetery, Soldier, Iowa with arrangements by Pearson Funeral Home, Soldier, Iowa.
