--News obit in 'The Washington Post' of August 18, 2007 says she died Aug. 17. She was the mother of Andrew who was killed Jun 21, 1964 in central Mississippi along with fellow rights workers Michael Schwerner and James Chaney. She was a psychologist who founded a program to help mothers leaving mental hospitals learn parenting skills.
-A much longer News obit in 'The New York Times', Aug. 18, 2007 also includes: at her death, she was assistant professor emeritus of psychiatry at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in the Bronx; died yesterday at her home on the Upper West Side; was born in Woodmere, NY on Oct. 6, 1915; her father, Edward, was a lawyer; she earned a bachelor's degree in home economics from Cornell University in 1936, a master's degree in clinical psychology from the City University of New York in 1953 and a doctorate in education from Columbia University Teachers College in 1968; married Robert W. Goodman in late 1930's, he died of a stroke in 1969, she married Joseph Eisner in 1972, he died in 1992; she is survived by her sons David, of Upper Saddle River, N.J. and Jonathan, of Tel Aviv, plus 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
