Mrs. Carrie E. Chisman, died at her home, 156 North Ransom street, at 8:05 p.m. Saturday.
The daughter of Christopher and Eliza Jane Anderson, she was born at Hastings, Neb., May 3, 1891. She had been a resident of Ottumwa for 27 years and was a member of the Willard Street Methodist church. She was married to Carl Chrisman April 18, 1917, in Ottumwa.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two brothers, William L. Anderson, Rockford, Ill., and Gay M. Anderson, Ottumwa, and a sister, Mrs. Ada Moyer, Ottumwa. She was preceded in death by her parents and by two brothers.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Johnson funeral chapel, conducted by the Rev. C.R. Reed of the Willard Street Methodist church. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery. Pallbearers will be Glen Berry, Edward Lasser, Roy Burgason, Verle Dawson, Paul Miller and Claude Albright.
