Services were held Wednesday at 2:30 pm, for Mrs. Carrie Kimbrough, 72, mother of Max Kimbrough of Houston and Mrs. J M Phillips of Houlka, who died Tuesday afternoon at the Houston Hospital.

Rites at Macedonia for Mrs. Kimbrough
Services were conducted from the Macedonia Church Wednesday afternoon, July 4, at 2:30 pm, for Mrs. Carrie Lee Kimbrough, widow of the late James Henry Kimbrough, 72, who died at the Houston Hospital Tuesday, July 3, at 2:50 pm. She had been in failing health for a number of years.
The Rev. E A Bailey officiated, assisted by the Rev. C L Hill and the Rev. Bob Posey. Interment was in the Macedonia Cemetery with Houston Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were: Roy Doss, Edward Griffin, Grady Martin, Roy Shelton, Jack Griffin and Gene Verell. Honorary pallbearers were: Earl Aaron, J A Brock, Derwood McCullough, H B Carter, Sr., D E Lester, Frank Doss, K L Couch and Robert Ashby.
Mrs. Kimbrough was born in Union county Aug. 21, 1883, the daughter of the late James Davis and Nancy Elvira Franklin Davis. She was a member of the New Salem Presbyterian Church.
She leaves three daughters, Mrs. J R Hagerman of Panama City, Fla., Mrs. O A Malone of Senatobia, Miss., and Mrs. J M Phillips of Houlka; two sons, Ollie Kimbrough of Houston and Max Kimbrough of Houston.
