About Casimir-Arthur Lareau

Casimir, after learning his father's trade, began traveling throughout southern Ontario and Quebec wherever his work took him, finally settling quite a bit later in Paincourt, a small French suburb of Chatham, and the home of his wife's family. It is known that he did the carpentry work on the Catholic church of the Immaculate Conception in Paincourt. This building was replaced in the 1920's by a more elegant brick structure. Two years before his death, he moved to Detroit with his entire family.
