About two weeks after the Pueblo Rebellion of 1680, she was with husband and entire family at Socorro with the colonists that survived the massacre in the southwestern part of the Kingdom. In 1681 she was living with her family at Yseta del Paso, near present day El Paso, Texas. A new settlement made up of Spanish Colonials and Indians from Iseta Pueblo.

When it came time to return to New Mexico in 1693, her husband had proclaimed that he was ready to return to the Kingdom of New Mexico. However Jose Tellez and his wife Catalina remained in Yseta del Paso where it seems they both died in 1695. Some of their children did return to New Mexico after 1693 to help resettle and rebuild the Kingdom.
