Biography

Cathrina was the daughter of Adam Mueller (Miller) and Barbara Kogen. She married John Baer (Barr). They had nine children.

5.Elizabeth Catatrina3 Miller (Adam2, Johann Peter1 Mueller) was born December 20, 1734 in Virginia.She married John Bear Bef. January 1753, son of Jacob Bear and Barabara.He was born Abt. 1726 in Virginia, and died Abt. 1791 in Virginia.

Notes for Elizabeth Catatrina Miller: Known as the first white child born in the Shenandoah Valley.

Notes for John Bear: John originally lived at Brock's Gap Va., with brother his Jacob and his father. In 1747 he purchased 300 Acres at Linville Creek, Rockingham Co.,Va. He lived on Fort Run about 1 Mi. west of Timberville on the road to Rader's Church. This is about 6 Mi. east of Brock's Gap and 18 Mi. northwest of Bear Lithia Springs. Land records show that John bought and sold several 1000 acres over the years. He and brother Jacob married sisters of the Miller family.

Notes for Mary Bear: Mary's daughter and James' son by their 1st. marriages, married eachother. Notes for James Kennerly: Served in Revolution in Capt. Robertson's Company, Virgina Militia 1777.
