Dear Cynthia,

I have gone over the registers here at Old Stone but I am going to

disappoint you as I wasn't able to find any records of William/Wilhelm

or Konrad Springer.

I did find a listing for a South Amherst Class that contained William

Springer, Sr., Martha, Martin, William K. and Anna Katharine.

I also found a John & Rosa Springer in the South Ridge Class. They

were also the parents of Clayton John Springer who was born 11-21-1898

and baptized Aug. 6, 1899. I have a listing for the death of John as

4-29-1968 and being buried in the Murray Ridge Rd. Cemetery. This

listing includes his birth as 10-24-1871 in Oberkofungen, Germany. I

have a John Springer and a Rosa Kolb marriage on Jan. 13, 1898 .

Maybe this is your relative: William C & Katherine O. Springer who

were parents to Edwin Frederick born 12-27-1908 and baptized 4-11-1909.

In 3-9-57 William C. Springer died and it shows his birth as

7-20-1867; Katherine Springer is listed deceased 11-2-1940. The burial

of William C. is listed for Evergreen Cemetery in South Amherst

On Nov. 1, 1900 a marriage for a Martin Springer and a Margaret Ludwig

and then on October (no day listed), 1903 a Fred Springer who married

Martha Shisler. Another listing is for a Eugene Griffin marrying Lena

Springer on 9-3-1913.

There is also – Ellen Springer who is listed as being born 2-6-1865

and died 3-6-1946 and is in the Cleveland St. Cemetery here in Amherst.

I know this kind of jumped around but the records are in German and

with several people entering data it gets very confusing. Our church

was originally EUB and then came the merger with the Methodist Church

in 1968? There is another Methodist Church here in Amherst, Park

Avenue UMC.

It must be very difficult to put all the pieces together but I wish you

the best in locating your history.
