Katharina Barbara Zuromski was the daughter of Johann and Katarina Anna (von Dulak) Zuromski. [family evidence and baptism records from Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Suleczyno, Kartuzy, Pomorskie, Poland: Book 1635, Picture Number 0036-0037, Number --: a daughter – Catharina Barbara – was born to Joannes and Catharina (von Dulakowa) Zeromski in 1812. Johann died in 1814 leaving Catharina (von Dulak) Zuromska a widow with a baby.

Catharine (von Dulak) Zuromska married Johann von Gostomski later in 1814 (exact date unknown, but their first child together was born on 19 May 1815 - so, they were married in or before August 1814). Katharina Barbara Zuromski became Johann von Gostomski's step-daughter, hence many people's confusion on relationship. You'll find actual evidence sometimes confused by inappropriate use of "von" Gostomska when it should actually be "vel" Gostomska (vel in this case = "also known as"). this is the case with Katharina Barbara Zuromska (vel Gostomska - or stepdaughter of Johann von Gostomski).
