Catherine married Alfred Thomas Barnes who died in 1844.

She then married Rev. Samuel Reading Berton, originally of Philadelphia, in 1847 and became his second wife. Catherine lived with her husband Samuel at the 'Claremont Plantation' - built in 1818 by Judge Joshua G. Clark.

Stone says: "daughter of James & Martha Crane".

Married Samuel Reading Bertron in 1847.

Inscription "I am the resurrection and the life." Sustained by this glorious truth, she could feel the chill of death undismayed and in calmness yield up her spirit to God. Dear loved one, long will the memory of thy gentleness and goodness, live in the hearts of those who survive thee.
