Catherina Maria Burgi (Fenenga)

I was Catherine Burgi's student at Yankton College, 1957-1961. She was a Linguist; I believe Sanskrit was her "dead" language. She taught Spanish and German at Yankton College. She was about 70 when she married Albert Burgi, her first and only husband. He was a "birder" and a photographer. Catherine took up birding with him after their marriage. Catherine was quite interested in computers during my last visit to her, in the late 1960's, as she was considering writing a book. She was short, and quite a lovely woman, with her hair pulled up in a bun at the back. Marilyn Hall Jacobson
