About Catherine Louise Brown
Cathy "Cookie" Brown, 75, of Washington, passed away in Evansville Tuesday at 10:40 a.m. She was born in the District of Columbia on April 1, 1942, to Charles R. and Florence Myrtle (Beall) Keller. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella. She retired from Petersburg Health Care in 2012, where she had worked as a dietary supervisor. She had catered for many years, enjoyed baking wedding cakes and going to French Lick. She is survived by her husband Dennis "Jerry" Brown, whom she married, July 14, 1962; daughter, Sharon Stinchfield of Jasper; sons, Dennis Brown of Washington, Chris (Karen) Brown of Washington and Allen (Andrea) Brown of Washington; Seven grandchildren, Brian (Blair) Stinchfield, Abby Stinchfield, Alex Stinchfield, Jessica Brown, Molly Brown, Brooks Brown and Julian Brown and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, George Keller, Walter Keller and Charles "Buddy" Keller and sisters, Ann Knapp and Evelyn Payne. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at noon at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Paul Ferguson as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Saturday at Ed Lee Mortuary, with a rosary by the Daughters of Isabella at 11:30 a.m. Memorial donations may be given to the Washington Catholic Education Endowment Fund, P.O.
