We know very little about this woman. Only that Robert Jr. must have married into the Cherokees as he spent so much time with them and lived away from most of the major cities. Family tradition states that there is substantial indian blood in our viens.
It was not uncommon of western frontiersmen to fancy indian women. So much time was spent in the wilderness in and around indians that such must not have seemed that unusual.
